4 of Poker’s Charming Pros

[ English ]

Beyond a doubt millions and millions of people are trying to be the next "star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more well known "great players" of the game. Despite the fact that "nice" is connected with their names when you are playing them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his competition earnings amounted to in excess of 4.4 million dollars and he captured 2 immensely admired awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In February Two Thousand and Six he was chosen Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. He even still has the humility to speak to his fans about how they could advance their own game.

Howard Lederer

Called "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His success has lead to him making an instructional video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his total life earnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is one of the most active players in professional poker and from 2000 to Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in well over 100 events. He’s noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when referring to a particularly bad loss. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are almost $6 million.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has earned five World Series of Poker titles with 2 of his wins coming in Two Thousand and Three. Has the alias "Jesus" because of his characteristic long hair and beard, along with his ability to throw playing cards quick enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of Two Thousand and Five his total live poker tourney earnings exceeded five million dollars.
