Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the dealer, not like nearly all other poker games that players wager against other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, beginning players do not have to worry about other, more experienced individuals winning their cash.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the dealer receives 7 cards faces hidden.
One five card hand and a two card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
