Four of Poker’s Nice Players

No Joke, millions and millions of people are trying to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short list of 4 of the more famous "great guys" of the game. Despite the fact that "nice" is connected with their names when you are at a poker table it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have put you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his competition winnings amounted to in the region of four and a half million dollars and he won 2 highly admired awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Competition Player of the Year. In February Two Thousand and Six he was appointed Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. Daniel still has the decency to talk to his admirers about how they could improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Called "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His accomplishments have lead to him making an instructional poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox. As of Two Thousand and Five, his complete life time winnings exceed $2.7 million.

Scotty Nguyen

Scott is 1 of the busiest players in poker and between 2000 and 2004 he placed in the money in well over 100 tournaments. He is notorious for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker games and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when referring to a exceptionally bad loss. As of Two Thousand and Six, his career winnings are almost 6 million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has captured 5 WSOP titles with two of his successes coming in 2003. Has the alias "Jesus" due to his characteristic long hair and beard, and is able to throw playing cards quick enough to cut through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total live poker tournament winnings exceeded 5 million dollars.
