Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the west in an excellent game for beginning level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the house, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers compete with other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to be concerned about other, more skillful players winning their mulla.
An additional Pai Gow benefit is the generally slow game play, rookies are able to take their time and scheme while not needing to make hasty decisions.
It’s also simpler to play for a long time with just a small amount of cash since, to not win, both of your hands has to be lower than each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards face up and the dealer is dealt 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and a 2 card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
