Caribbean Poker Codes and Pointers

Poker has become globally famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years numerous variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the croupier declares "No more bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the different players are given 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you must either make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes immediately to the dealer. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with a figure equal to the original wager. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The bank pays money even with your bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
