Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the western in a fantastic game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the casino, not like most other poker games that players wager with other players. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to be concerned about other, more knowledgeable people taking their $$$$.
One more Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game pace, novices can take their time and plan without having to make frenzied decisions.
It’s also easier to gamble on for a long time with basically a small amount of money after all, to not win, both of your hands needs to be lower than both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the casino is dealt 7 cards face down.
One 5 card hand and one two card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
